INSPIRATION

Music, films, photography etc have a massive influence on me, so I thought I should start posting these things alongside my work. With some of my inspirations you can see the direct influence on my work and with others you cant, and probably with most of these types of posts you will see my frustration with wanting to make my work like these things but not being able to achieve the soul/spirit/nature. I shall be posting images and links so you can see, but also it might help me get that bit closer to understanding why and what resonates within them, within me. Fingers crossed eh?

It might be having five older brothers but watching this film makes me feel super nostalgic. I put a few film stills from Transformers because i'm completely in awe and amazed how they create such vivid colours and bright lights, its utterly and completely 80's...plus ORSON WELLES is UNICRON!!!

This little monkey face is the first of many animals I am going to draw for my summer brief. I intend to draw AT LEAST one animal a day so that I keep up with drawing as well as producing a meaty sketchbook...here goes it

Oh, sullen stuffed bear

i'm a bit rusty

After finishing my first year of uni, I gave myself a break to catch up on meeting with old mates and having some "down time"...every now and again i'd pick up a pencil to do some experimenting, but this bear is the first proper illustration I have completed.

It's for my summer brief and I drew a stuffed bear from Amsterdam zoo.
